MK Search are working with a very well respected mechanically biased M&E contractor who require a mechanical supervisor from a pipefitting background to work on a notable data centre they are delivering in Slough. Reporting to a mechanical project manager you will take control of the plumbing and pipefitting packages, tasked with managing a large team of in-house operatives alongside specialist subcontractors. Supervise and coordinate the activities of various subcontractors, foreman and chargehands Establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedule for the project Taking responsibility for health and safetyon site and leading by example Organising workers, plant, machinery and materials Supervising construction activities Coordinates with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions Identifying materials and equipment that may be required Ensuring construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications Conducts quality control inspections on project sites Ensuring that contractor activities are properly co-ordinated Ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards Analyses and quickly resolves any work problems and may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner Training employees and apprentices are provided with relevant work experience Maintaining detailed and accurate site reports Sign off to pay an attractive day rate or salary with a chance to join a very notable project and be a part of a talented team from the very beginning.

We are currently working with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of 300m and a strong national presence delivering flagship projects across sectors who are looking for an electrical project manager to work a night shift on a sizeable 24MW data centre they are delivering in NW London. The initial phase will run for 12 months with the next phase likely to be secured soon meaning long term work in the location for many years to come. Duties Include Lead team meetings to engage, motivate, and improve performance. Report aspects of the project to clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder. Liaise with Design & Coordination to ensure the delivery of design/working drawings capture any additional cost, programme delay, or external influence that may affect production. Delegate activities within the company project team, while building strong working relationships. Management of the procurement process. Be an advocate for best-practice health and safety. The successful candidate will possess previous experience in project management and the data centre industry. You will be proactive, self-motivated and client focused. In addition, the right individual will have excellent leadership skills and be a confident communicator.
