TeamJobs are seeking experienced and skilled CNC Grinder to join our client's team in Yeovil. The successful candidates will be responsible for the grinding of aerospace components in strict accordance with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Pay Rate Weekend Shift: 23.02 p/h - 29.27 p/h, rising to 23.46 p/h - 29.83 p/h after 12 weeks onsite. Working hours: 12 hours per day, 19:00 to 7:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Location: Yeovil, Somerset Key Responsibilities: Internal/External grinding using MDI (Manual Data Input) CNC machinery, surface grinding and thread grinding. OCQ - Operator Control of Quality (i.e. Stamping to confirm quality of assemblies are to Company and Customer standards). To achieve on time delivery by ensuring work is completed on time and to the required standard. Interpreting engineering drawings, following the process layout and documentation procedures. Working effectively in a lean environment. Qualifications and Experience: Engineering Apprenticeship (Desirable but not Essential). Knowledge of grinding tolerances/ finishes to Aerospace Standard i.e. 0.0002" internal/external diameter, 2-4 Micro Inch surface finishes and concentrate of 0.0002". Honing experience. Knowledge of hand measuring equipment such as digital micrometer, comparators, air plug gauges and surface finish measuring equipment. High standard of Health & Safety. Adhering to Company Processes & Procedures. Working in a Customer-focused environment and achieving targets. Working with Designers and Engineers. Skills and Attributes: The position requires the applicant to have an understanding of Aerospace practice and the significance of the safety critical work undertaken. PC literate. Be able to display essential skills in the adherence to Health & Safety standards at all times, teamwork, flexibility and the ability to use initiative. Machining skills are desirable. Proactive and continually looking to develop and learn new skills. Any further training requirements will be provided:- PC skills (incl. Company Operating System), Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, 5S, and general Health & Safety. Please note that a drug screening is required as part of the pre-employment process. The successful candidates will be responsible for CNC milling of aerospace components in strict accordance with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Location: Yeovil, Somerset Pay Rate Weekend Shift: 23.02 p/h - 29.27 p/h, rising to 23.46 p/h - 29.83 p/h after 12 weeks onsite. Working hours: 12 hours per day, 19:00 to 7:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pay Rate Swing Shift: 23.02 p/h/ 23.46 after 12 weeks Working hours: Week 1 - Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 13:00) Week 2 - Monday to Thursday (15:30 to 00:00) Key Responsibilities: CNC programming, machining (this will entail the programming, setting & running of 3 axis milling centres) OCQ - Operator Control of Quality (i.e. Stamping to confirm quality of assemblies are to company and Customer standards). Working hours: Night Shift: Sun (22:00) - Mon (07:00) (8.5 hours) Mon - Thur (00:00 - 07:00) (6.5 hours per day) Key Responsibilities: Centre Lathe Turning will entail manufacturing of parts from start to finish, to Aerospace Specifications (this will entail setting and running of bespoke work on 2 Axis Lathes). We are looking for reliable, hardworking people to work in fast paced assembly roles, ASAP on a day shift position . This is a temporary, on-going position for the right candidate. You do not need experience, but you must be able to learn quickly, follow instruction and have good dexterity skills. The working hours are: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.45pm, Friday 8am to 12.00pm 12.41 per hour raising to 12.65 after 12 weeks You may be using tweezers, small machines, electronic screwdrivers or just using your hands so you must have good dexterity skills & hand eye co-ordination. You should be comfortable working to hourly targets. Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, safety glasses & masks etc are required and provided. This is a standing role.
