MUST HAVE CCNSG NAECI BLUE BOOK SITE An Electrician NVQ Level 3 on a UK-based Energy from Waste (EfW) site installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment. Key responsibilities include: - Electrical Installation and Maintenance: Installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, panels, and equipment - Fault Finding and Repair: Troubleshooting and fixing electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime - Compliance: Ensuring work meets UK electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations 1989) - Safety: Following site safety procedures and conducting risk assessments - Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work, test results, and certifications Typically requires: - NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation - ECS card or equivalent - Experience with industrial electrical systems and control panels - UK electrical certification (e.g., NICEIC, ECA)

Key Responsibilities 1. Material Preparation & Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including General Arrangement (GA), detail, and isometric drawings. Mark out materials for cutting and shaping using templates, scribers, or CNC programming. Select appropriate materials (e.g., carbon steel S355, stainless steel 316L, aluminium). 2. Fabrication & Forming: Operate heavy machinery to cut and shape metal: Thermal Cutting: Plasma, oxy-fuel, and laser cutters. Mechanical Cutting: Guillotines, band saws. Forming: Press brakes, rollers, and plate bending machines to form plates into cylinders, cones, etc. Perform thermal straightening to correct distortions in metal. 3. Assembly & Fitting: Assemble components using jigs, fixtures, and tack welds to ensure precise alignment before final welding. Fit and align large sections and plate work to tight tolerances (often within 2mm). Use measuring equipment (verniers, levels, laser alignment tools) to check accuracy.
