What if your next project wasn't improving an existing production line? But being responsible for creating one? We're supporting an advanced engineering manufacturer preparing to launch a major new programme to industrialise an engineered composite assembly used within the semiconductor industry. This is an opportunity to lead the journey from development into full-scale manufacturing. You'll play a central role in establishing a new manufacturing cell, developing robust production processes, managing significant CAPEX investment and delivering a rapid production ramp-up to meet customer demand. Success won't be measured by keeping the project on track alone. You'll be responsible for building the foundations that allow production to scale successfully. What you'll be doing Leading a complex New Product Introduction (NPI) programme from concept through to series production. Establishing a new manufacturing cell and supporting production readiness. Driving industrialisation activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain. Managing project plans, budgets, costs, schedules and commercial performance. Leading customer programme reviews and acting as the primary customer interface. Managing project risk, engineering change and governance throughout the programme. Supporting a fast production ramp-up while maintaining quality, cost and delivery targets. What we're looking for You'll already have experience delivering complex engineering or manufacturing programmes where technical delivery and commercial performance are equally important. You'll have experience with: NPI Industrialisation and production readiness. Establishing manufacturing capability or production cells from the ground up. CAPEX planning and project cost control. Customer-facing programme management. Leading cross-functional engineering teams through challenging delivery programmes. Shift Pattern: Double Day Shift: 06:00 - 14:30 / 14:00 - 22:30 or Permanent Late Shift: 14:00 - 22:30 We are looking for reliable CNC Machine Operators (ideally Turners) to join a growing manufacturing team. This could be on a permanent basis, or contract (with additional premium added). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous turning and machining experience who enjoys working in a production environment, on diverse projects, and takes pride in producing quality work. You do not need programming experience; we are looking for someone who can operate (and possibly set) CNC equipment safely and efficiently and is keen to learn. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will help produce precision components used in advanced engineering applications. In house and client-based fault finding, rectification and diagnostics Supplier liaison Component-level testing and commissioning This is a hands-on, varied position within a highly technical and fast-moving environment. Essential Requirements: NVQ, ONC/D, HNC/D, in Mechanical, Mechatronics , electrical or Instrumentation Engineering. Good understanding of engineering principles Able to read and interpret engineering drawings inc some knowledge of BS8888, Minimum 3 years of practical engineering experience of technical assembly following instructions, drawings, schematics within mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, sensors, fluids or instrumentation. Experience of working in a regulated industry aerospace, avionics, defence, nuclear, motorsport, automotive or similar Demonstrated ability to apply original thought and affect change (not simply follow instructions) Strong structured thinking able to explain reasoning clearly (e.g. using 5 Whys problem-solving) Clear, concise and effective communication skills within a team-focused environment Right to work in UK indefinitely Commutable of west London or willing to relocate Desirable 5 years plus experience as a technician within an instrumentation, process control, medical devices, robotic or fluidic systems environment Ability to read simple electrical/fluid schematics and use hand tools soldering to IPC level manual/low volume machining light fabrication ISO EN 13485 We re looking for individuals with curiosity, structured thinking, and the confidence to improve procedures not just maintain them.
