HGV Driver/ Class 1 Are you an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver looking for your next opportunity If so, we are currently recruiting for HGV Drivers (Class 1) to join our Newtownabbey, Belfast team! About the role: All HGV Driver roles operate Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting palletised freight across Northern Ireland using curtain-sided vehicles, ensuring high standards of service and compliance at all times. Key responsibilities include: Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects and ensuring safe and legal operation. Plan and manage delivery routes efficiently, reporting significant deviations and overseeing safe loading and unloading. Promote responsible use of fuel and equipment. Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers, the public, and colleagues. Comply with all legal requirements and company policies, ensuring accurate proof of delivery and clear communication of any issues or incidents. About you: As an HGV Driver, you will hold a full UK driving licence with Category C+E (Class 1) entitlement. Previous Class 1 experience is desirable but not essential, as a full induction programme is provided for the right candidate. You will have excellent communication skills and a courteous, professional manner. Maintaining your vehicle in a safe, clean, and tidy condition is essential. ADR and/or a forklift licence would be advantageous but is not required.
