The Role Design and introduce programs and best practises to ensure compliance with global legislation. Lead and manage trade compliance activities across multiple sites. You will play a pivotal role in defining technical requirements, developing manufacturing processes, designing new machinery & tooling and ensuring successful New Product Introduction. Key Responsibilities Manage a team of Engineers proving guidance, direction and coaching. Develop existing and new tooling designs manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and product quality. Investigate non-conformances with a view to establishing the root cause and implementing changes. Provide subject matter expertise to the customer and develop solid long-term relationships. Define, manage, and validate product requirements and acceptance criteria. Be the company customer point for NPI & manufacturing programs. Produce Engineering drawings. Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive system design, development, and delivery. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the engineering lifecycle. The Person Degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM-related discipline. A good understanding of precision engineering processes (machining preferred but not essential). The ability to lead mechanical design work packages. Previous experience working in a highly regulated sector (aerospace and/or defence preferred). Demonstrable experience in applying mechanical engineering for various products along with different stages of a product lifecycle. Experience in using Solidworks or other 3D modelling software. Working on a number of new R&D projects you will design innovative packaging solutions for electrical systems and components that form a critical part of the new product design.
