Machinery & Tractor Operations: Tractor work (primarily loader duties, grass cutting, and trailer towing), alongside routine day-to-day machine maintenance. Excavator & Groundwork: Operating 360 diggers for ground clearance prior to fencing, repairing culverts, and assisting with landscaping projects. Fencing Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining agricultural stock fencing as well as domestic boundary fencing Forestry & Firewood: Assisting with tree felling, processing fallen timber, and handling the processing and delivery of firewood to customers. Candidate Profile & Requirements Background: 5+ years of practical experience on arable, mixed stock farms, or estate environments. Machinery Skills: Proven experience operating farm machinery, 360 excavators, and dumpers independently. Attitude: Adaptable mindset, happy to switch tasks as seasonal priorities change, and keen to expand their skill set. Licensing: Full UK Driving License with trailer (BE some need to renew their licence for this to be valid) Tickets (Desirable): Chainsaw certificates (NPTC CS30/31) or digger/dumper tickets are an advantage, but hands-on experience matters most. This is NOT a hybrid role, the successful candidate would need to work from the offices in Eastbourne on a daily basis. This exciting role involves hands-on vehicle preparation, instrumentation, testing, and validation of cutting-edge driver assistance and diagnostic systems. Key Responsibilities Prepare, build, maintain, and instrument vehicles in line with engineering standards and procedures. Carry out testing in dynamic driving conditions to capture accurate and reliable data. Support evaluation and issue identification in close collaboration with Test Engineers. Set up instrumentation including cameras, radar, and ADAS logging systems. Acquire and analyse data, compiling reports to support engineering teams. Assist with harness fabrication/repair and interpret technical drawings. Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver projects on time and to high quality. Skills & Experience Required Strong knowledge of vehicle assembly, disassembly, and maintenance techniques.
