The role is scheduled across Sunday to Thursday (22:00-06:00) Client Details My client is a market-leader in the freight & shipping industry and has offices based across the world (in the UK, US, Iberia, Germany and the Far-East). You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, AOG, automotive retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive. Job Description As a Air Freight Forwarder (Nights) you will report in to the Air Freight Operations Manager on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Derby office: Manage air & road freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations - additionally informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods. Responsible for MAWB and HAWB documentation. Nominating carriers, hauliers, shipping lines, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms. Handling customs entries and arranging billings for VAT/Duties Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation etc) Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements You will operate across Sunday to Thursday (22:00-06:00) on a night shift pattern. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have an expansive background in the air freight forwarding industry. The ideal Air Freight Forwarder (Nights) will have the following skills and experience: 3+ year's experience in freight forwarding in air freight Experience of pricing, quoting and operation air freight shipments Knowledge of airway bills is highly desirable (AWB / MAWB / HAWB) Excellent customer service experience Commutable to Derbyshire. Job Description As a Freight Customs & Operations Specialist (4on4off) you will report in to the Customs & Compliance Manager on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Nottinghamshire office. Inputting road, air, sea freight clearances into CDS / CHIEF using a vareity of software such as Destin8. Responsible for preparing road, air and sea freight documentation for customs entries - such as export packing lists, certificates of origin, EUR1s, ATR1s, dual use licensing, port charges, cost of special documents, etc Handling customs entries (EUR1's / ATR1's) and arranging billings for VAT/Duties Ensuring, booking and conducting of full end-to-end customs clearance. Completing a 4on4off shift pattern. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have an expansive background in customs compliance within the freight forwarding industry. The ideal Freight Customs & Operations Specialist (4on4off) will have the following skills and experience: 2+ year's experience in customs and/or customs compliance or freight operations. Experience of using CDS or CHIEF software for customs entries Experience of freight operations is desirable Desirable experience of compliance such as AEO, Letter of Credit Documentation, IPR and/or OPR. Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous Commutable to Nottinghamshire Ability to a work a 4on4off shift pattern on a hybrid basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Nottinghamshire office: To provide service updates on international multi-modal freight shipments via air, sea and road freight. Provide key account customers with daily updates around their shipments - including OTIF delivery and KPI's for their SLA. Process KPI reports for shipments, discrepancies and amendments. Investigate and resolve any missed shipments in line with key account expectations and the company SLA. Monitor, update and produce key account files and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office applications Monitor and analyse all billing and invoicing for the key account customer. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have an expansive mixed background in either the key account world or the freight forwarding & logistics industry. The ideal Freight Key Account Co-ordinator will have the following skills and experience: 2+ year's experience in key account management, freight forwarding, or logistics OR a graduate with a desire to join the logistics & freight industry - which would also be strongly considered.
