Multi Plant Operator Ground Remediation Location: Newcastle Contract: Initial 12-week contract, with the potential for a permanent position Industry: Ground Remediation / Environmental Services About the Role Northbuild are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Plant Operator to join a well-established ground remediation company on a project in Newcastle . The successful candidate will be experienced in operating a range of plant machinery both above and below 10 tonnes and will have previous experience working on ground remediation or similar environmental projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator to secure an initial 12-week position, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a range of plant machinery above and below 10 tonnes. Operate plant in accordance with site procedures and health & safety requirements. Use GPS machine control systems confidently and accurately. Carry out excavation, earthmoving and associated remediation works. Work effectively alongside groundworkers, site management and other plant operators. Follow site-specific risk assessments, method statements and environmental procedures. Carry out daily plant checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and site safety. Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the required standards. Requirements Essential: Proven experience as a Multi Plant Operator. Experience operating plant above and below 10 tonnes . Previous experience working on ground remediation sites or similar projects. Competent using GPS machine control . Relevant plant operator qualifications/tickets. Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures. Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team. Desirable: Asbestos Awareness. Lifting Operations training/qualification. The successful candidates will be experienced operating a range of plant machinery, both above and below 10 tonnes , and will ideally have previous experience working on ground remediation or similar specialist construction sites. This is initially a 12-week position, with the opportunity for the right candidate to secure a permanent role following successful completion of the initial contract. Key Responsibilities Operating a range of mobile plant safely and efficiently, both above and below 10 tonnes. Working from GPS machine control systems. Carrying out excavation, earthmoving, remediation and associated groundworks. Working safely around other plant, site personnel and underground services. Following site plans, RAMS and instructions from site management. Completing daily plant checks and reporting any defects. Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times. Previous experience in a similar role completing these duties is highly valuable accompanied with recent & relveant referencs to secure this position. Working hours are Monday to Friday 07:30am to 16:30pm 8.5 / 9hrs a day paid at £16.80ph CIS or UMBRELLA on a weekly basis - LONG TERM ROLE.
