Land Advisor Our client is an established and growing land and property consultancy providing professional advice to landowners, developers, promoters and other stakeholders across the property and development sectors. They are currently seeking an Land Advisor to join their team and support the identification, assessment and progression of land opportunities. This is a commercially focused position suited to someone with experience in land agency, consultancy, strategic land, rural property or a related property discipline. The successful Land Advisor will work closely with landowners, developers, planning consultants, solicitors and technical advisers, managing opportunities from initial identification through to legal agreement, planning promotion, marketing or disposal. About the Role You will be responsible for identifying and assessing potential development and strategic land opportunities, researching land ownership, reviewing planning history and considering relevant local and national planning policy. You will establish and maintain relationships with landowners, advising them on the potential development and commercial value of their land. This will include undertaking initial site appraisals and considering planning, access, environmental, technical and commercial constraints. The role will involve negotiating heads of terms for option agreements, promotion agreements, conditional contracts and other land arrangements. You will work alongside solicitors, planning consultants, architects, engineers and other professional advisers to progress each opportunity. You will also prepare reports, appraisals and recommendations for clients, attend landowner and project meetings, monitor project programmes and provide regular updates throughout each instruction. As part of the consultancy s continued growth, you will be expected to identify new instructions, develop professional relationships and build a network of landowners, developers, housebuilders, agents and consultants. Key skills the business is looking for Previous experience within land agency, development consultancy, strategic land, property development or rural surveying. A good understanding of the land acquisition, planning and development process. Knowledge of option agreements, promotion agreements and conditional contracts. Project Management Strong commercial awareness and the ability to assess development potential. Confident communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills. The ability to manage multiple land opportunities at different stages. A full UK driving licence and the ability to attend sites and client meetings. Nice to have A degree or professional qualification in land management, rural surveying, planning, property or real estate would be advantageous. Ideally you will be RICS-qualified or working towards chartered status; however, this is not essential where strong and relevant experience can be demonstrated. The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially minded and confident when dealing with landowners, clients and professional advisers. You should be highly organised, capable of working independently and comfortable taking responsibility for progressing land opportunities from initial contact through to conclusion. Our client is a growing design-and-build contractor delivering projects across a wide range of construction disciplines. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic Technical Coordinator to manage the design process, coordinate external consultants and provide technical support throughout pre-construction and project delivery. The successful Technical Coordinator will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, utility providers, subcontractors and internal construction and commercial teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to take ownership of the technical function, with genuine potential to progress into a Technical Director role as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate the existing external design team. Liaise with architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, M&E consultants and specialist designers. Engage directly with clients and provide practical technical advice. Manage the design process across pre-construction and live projects. Review drawings, specifications and technical information for coordination, compliance and buildability. Advise the construction team on design details, specifications, materials and technical requirements. Respond to technical queries from project managers, site managers and subcontractors. Identify design clashes, omissions and potential construction risks. Manage RFIs, design changes, approvals and subcontractor design packages. Ensure technical information is issued in line with the construction programme. Coordinate utilities, statutory services, diversions and new connections. Liaise with utility providers, statutory authorities and specialist contractors. Attend design meetings, client meetings and site inspections. Work closely with commercial and operational teams to understand the cost and programme implications of design decisions. Ensure designs comply with planning requirements, building regulations and relevant industry standards. Candidate Requirements Previous experience as a Technical Manager,Technical Coordinator, Design Manager or in a similar construction role. Experience working on design-and-build construction projects. Strong experience managing and coordinating external design consultants. Good understanding of architectural, structural, civil engineering and M&E information. Experience coordinating utilities and statutory services would be highly advantageous. Strong understanding of construction methods, specifications, sequencing and buildability. Confident communicating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams. Commercially aware, organised and solutions-focused. Able to manage multiple projects and technical workstreams. Education and Qualifications Candidates would ideally hold a degree, HNC or HND in one of the following: Construction Management Architectural Technology Civil Engineering Building Services Engineering Another relevant construction-related discipline Relevant professional membership, SMSTS and a valid CSCS card would be advantageous. Applications will also be considered from experienced candidates who have developed strong technical knowledge without following a traditional degree route.
