The role: Collating and checking documents relating to import & export shipments Signing of documents under a Power of Attorney on behalf of clients Recognise client commercial invoice(s) and packing list(s) extracting data as necessary to complete import and export declarations Liaising with importers/exporters and internal operational colleagues to obtain mandatory information for import and export entries Aiding clients on the classification of goods and their importance Entering details onto specialised software connecting to CHIEF/CDS Preparation of necessary import/export documentation, including T-forms, EUR1's, Certificates of Origin (CofO), CVED and other cargo control documents The person: Previous experience working in a similar Customs role Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Customs tariff is required and application of the relevant procedures is essential.
