Help Shape the Future of Research Integrity in the UK The UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO) is the UK's leading independent charity dedicated to promoting and advancing research integrity. UKRIO is entering an exciting period of change as we strengthen our support for the research community and expand our profile as a trusted voice in research integrity. We are seeking a Director of Programmes to play a pivotal role in shaping this next chapter. As part of the senior leadership team, you will help define UKRIO's long-term strategy and ensure its successful delivery. Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee and execute UKRIO's programme of work, leading a small team, paid associates, and expert volunteers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based guidance and resources that meet the sector's needs, ensuring outputs are timely, rigorous, and impactful. You will also take responsibility for one of UKRIO's core services, the Advisory Service, providing expert oversight, advising on complex enquiries, and ensuring all responses are rigorously quality assured. Your role will include the evaluation and evolution of UKRIO's programmes and services, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. Essential to the role is therefore a strong knowledge of research integrity and the wider landscape; a keen understanding of how to manage projects and people effectively in order to get the best out of limited resources; a high degree of initiative and skill in strategic and programmatic leadership; and excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to navigate a complex, changing landscape. This role represents a key investment in UKRIO's future and offers a unique opportunity to shape the national conversation on research integrity. Key information about the role: Offered on a permanent and full-time basis. Salary band on offer for this role is £60,000-£65,000, dependent on level of experience. A hybrid role where the postholder would be required to attend the London Euston office two days a week (Monday and Wednesday). The person: You are likely to thrive in this role if you: are a values-led leader, with a track record of cultivating collaborative and high-performing teams to deliver complex projects to time, budget, and standard have a passion for - and proven expertise in - one or more of these areas: research integrity, ethics, governance, management, culture, funding, or policy; at least five years' experience designing programmes or delivering services in research, higher education, or the charity sector; enthusiasm for implementing change and the ability to bring new approaches to project and people management to achieve excellence.
