The Role My client is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join their technical team in the North East. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models and fabrication information for roofing and cladding systems. This role will involve close collaboration with the design, estimating, and project delivery teams to ensure all designs are accurate, coordinated and compliant with current standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for metal roofing, cladding, rainscreen and fa ade systems. Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create fabrication and installation details. Coordinate with engineers, architects, suppliers and site teams to ensure designs are practical and fully integrated. Prepare fabrication drawings, BOMs and CNC data where required. Maintain drawing registers, manage revisions and ensure document control procedures are followed. Contribute to design reviews, offering technical input to improve efficiency and build quality. Support the tendering and pre-construction process with layout drawings and concept visuals. Adhere to company and industry standards including fire-safety, building regulations and manufacturer specifications. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure designs align with approved system details. The Ideal Candidate Essential: Previous experience as a CAD Designer or CAD Technician within the roofing, cladding or fa ade sector. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and ideally some experience with Revit or similar 3D software. Good technical understanding of metal cladding, rainscreen and flat roofing systems. Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural and structural documentation. Effective communicator, able to coordinate between office, site and external partners. Role Purpose The Site Manager will take responsibility for day-to-day delivery of recladding projects, ensuring that works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the key link between site teams, project management, and residents, the Site Manager will oversee subcontractors, manage health and safety, and maintain clear reporting on progress. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Manages the daily running of recladding projects, ensuring programme milestones are achieved. Coordinates subcontractors and site operatives, maintaining quality workmanship. Oversees fa ade removal and installation processes, ensuring compliance with fire safety and building regulations. Health & Safety Maintains strict site health & safety standards, carrying out regular checks and toolbox talks. Ensures all works are carried out in line with CDM regulations and company policies. Communication & Reporting Provides regular updates to Project Managers, including progress reports, risks, and delays. Liaises with Resident Liaison Officers and tenants where projects are occupied, addressing concerns sensitively. Attends site meetings with stakeholders, representing the company professionally. Quality & Compliance Reviews technical drawings and ensures works on-site are carried out in line with specifications. Monitors installation of rainscreen systems and insulation to ensure compliance with building safety standards. Carries out snagging inspections and ensures handovers are delivered to the required standard. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Site Manager in cladding, fa ade, or external envelope projects. Strong background in recladding / remediation projects, with knowledge of fire safety requirements. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors effectively. Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and health & safety requirements. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Desirable SMSTS (essential), CSCS (essential), First Aid (preferred). Experience working on occupied recladding projects, including liaison with residents. Knowledge of rainscreen cladding systems, SFS, insulation, and fire barriers. Package Day rate: Up to 300 per day (depending on experience). Initial contract basis, with potential for ongoing work on multiple recladding schemes. Based across sites in the North West and wider UK, with travel required depending on project location.

Key Responsibilities Lead the management and delivery of Flat Roofing projects (including single ply, built-up felt, hot melt, liquid systems, green roofs, and associated works) from pre-construction through to completion. Oversee multiple live sites simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the specified quality . Manage client relationships, attend progress meetings, and act as the primary point of contact for all contractual and technical matters. Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain efficient workflows and safe working practices. Monitor and control project budgets, variations, and contract documentation. Ensure full compliance with H&S regulations and company quality standards. Requirements Proven track record managing Flat Roofing projects (commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential). Excellent understanding of flat roofing systems (e.g., single ply, hot melt, liquid waterproofing, built-up felt). Strong commercial and contractual awareness with experience managing budgets and client expectations.
