We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on developing integrated electro-mechanical control solutions. You'll play a key role in the design and development, working across the full product development lifecycle from concept through to validation and launch. As a Design Engineer, you will work within a collaborative engineering team delivering new product development and value engineering projects. You will contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of electromechanical and controls-based solutions, helping bring innovative products to market while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electromechanical products. Generate and present innovative design concepts, translating ideas into practical engineering solutions. Support multiple new product development and value engineering projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales. Work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and sales teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Provide technical support for product-related enquiries and site-based issues. Produce and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and technical documentation. Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, and related engineering processes to ensure robust product design. Support prototype development, testing, validation, and performance evaluation activities. About You We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and developing innovative solutions. Essential Skills & Experience Relevant Qualifications OR equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. Experience in electromechanical product design and development. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as castings, machined components, and plastic mouldings. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo/Pro Engineer preferred, but open). Understanding of controls systems and integrated electromechanical solutions. Experience working within structured product development environments. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for a flexible part-time role where you can take ownership of payroll while supporting the wider HR function of a successful SME? We are recruiting for a Part-Time HR Administrator / Payroll Processor to join a growing business in Wellingborough on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the position to become permanent. This role offers between 16 and 24 hours per week, with flexibility around how those hours are worked. Due to the nature of payroll processing, the successful candidate will need to be available to increase their hours during busier periods of the month to ensure payroll deadlines are met accurately and efficiently. Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next opportunity on a days only shift within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We re working with a long-established manufacturer in the Thrapston area who are seeking a skilled engineer to provide planned, reactive maintenance and project support across a variety of production machinery. The Role: Carry out preventative and corrective electrical maintenance, including fault finding and repairs on a wide range of equipment. Support with issues across lifting systems, conveyors, hydraulics, and other automated processes. Monitor machine performance, analyse downtime, and recommend improvements to boost reliability and efficiency. Manage small machine budgets and contribute to development and continuous improvement projects. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to plan refurbishments and maintenance schedules. Lead and support small-scale improvement initiatives within the department. About You: Qualified to BTEC ONC / HNC (or equivalent) in an electrical discipline. Consideration will be given to City & Guilds Level 3 with strong post-apprenticeship experience. Strong background in electrical fault-finding, maintenance, and repair within a manufacturing or FMCG setting. PLC knowledge and diagnostic skills are highly advantageous. Experience in fast-moving production or paper-based industries is desirable but not essential. Proactive, with the ability to take ownership of designated areas and report on progress.
