Warehouse Operative FLT Driver Reach/Counterbalance Pickles Recruitment are hiring for our well-respected client based in Hyde. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established firm. This is a temp 2 perm position, working via Pickles Recruitment for the first 12 weeks. The purpose of the role is to support the warehouse team with daily functions to process customer orders efficiently and effectively. A valid and transferable Reach & Counterbalance FLT licence is required for this position. This must be RTITB or equivalent. Duties include but not limited to: Operating the FLT Reach & Counterbalance trucks. Order picking customer orders of various volumes. Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness within order picking and location finding. Manual & hands-on duties within the warehouse. Loading & Unloading deliveries in a timely manner. Replenishment and movement of stock within the warehouse. Completion of documentation when required. Working Hours: 10am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday Salary: £25k per annum. We are currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Setter to join our growing team. You will be responsible for setting and operating Amada press brake machines , ensuring the accurate production of precision sheet metal components to exact specifications. This is a temp 2 perm position. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate Amada press brake machinery. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Perform quality checks using measuring tools such as verniers, callipers, and gauges. Adjust machine settings to optimize production and maintain tolerances. Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery. Working Hours: Mon 7.00 - 4.30 pm Tues 7.00 - 4.00 pm Wed 7.00 - 3.30 pm Thurs 7.00 - 3.30 pm Fri 7.00 - 12.30 pm Hourly Rate: £14 per hour

Job Title: Glass Manufacturing Operative Job Purpose To support the production of glass products by operating machinery, handling materials, and carrying out multiple manufacturing processes safely and efficiently. The role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to work night shifts after initial training. Key Responsibilities Operate a variety of machines and tools involved in glass manufacturing, including cutting, polishing, edging, toughening, and finishing processes . Handle, move, and load raw materials and finished glass products, often involving heavy lifting of items up to 30kg+. Follow technical instructions, production schedules, and safety standards to ensure products are manufactured to specification. Conduct quality checks on glass at each stage of production to identify defects or imperfections. Safely operate lifting equipment, suction lifters, and manual handling aids to transport large glass panels. Work with the production team to meet output targets while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Follow strict health & safety procedures , including wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to manual handling regulations. Report machine faults, defects, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately. Keep work areas clean and organised in line with 5S/lean manufacturing principles. Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to improve efficiency, safety, or quality. Requirements Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or heavy-duty manual work (glass industry experience preferred but not essential; full training provided). Physically fit and capable of safe heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot defects or inconsistencies in glass products. Willingness to work night shifts (10:00pm - 6:30am) following completion of training. Must be available for initial training on day shifts (6:30am - 3:00pm) for approx. 4 weeks before moving onto permanent night shifts. Good teamwork and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing priorities in a busy manufacturing environment. Working Conditions Manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, noise, and heavy materials . Night shift role: 10:00pm - 6:30am . Initial training: day shifts (6:30am - 3:00pm) for approx. 4 weeks . PPE provided and must be worn at all times. Manual, physical work requiring stamina, precision, and safe handling techniques.
