Controls Design Engineer Location: Harlow, Essex Salary: Dependent on experience The Opportunity Rise10 Recruitment is representing a well-established manufacturing company based in Harlow, Essex, specialising in the design and build of customised automation machinery . Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Documentation and Controls Design Engineer to support their engineering and production teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in automation, machine controls, and compliance within a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain electrical and pneumatic control circuits for automated machinery using AutoCAD and EPLAN Create and maintain user manuals and technical documentation to a defined company standard Liaise with controls, software, and mechanical design teams to gather technical information Operate machinery to support documentation accuracy and assist with debugging controls and machine functionality Ensure technical files are complete Create and maintain procedure and production documentation Assist with day-to-day production activities as required Skills & Experience Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic circuits (beneficial but not essential) Willingness to learn and develop technical skills - full training provided Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to documentation Good communication skills and ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines What's on Offer Hands-on exposure to automation machinery and machine safety Training in CE / UKCA compliance and technical documentation A strong foundation for progression within an engineering or controls-based career Supportive team environment within a growing automation business
