Events Operations Lead Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 plus a potential bonus Base: Chelmsford (50% of your time traveling nationwide for events and staying away from home) Permanent/Full Time Working Hours: 5-day week (Monday Saturday rota, hours typically 9am 5:30pm; extended hours expected on event days) Our client, a fast-paced and high growth company, is the UK s leading training organisation helping thousands of Business Owners, Entrepreneurs and Celebrities build, grow, and scale the business. They are looking for bright and enthusiastic professionals to join their events team that have a strong background in organising and hosting events, love meeting and networking with clients/delegates, and who have with a key eye on detail. As an Events Operations Lead, you ll be at the heart of the action travelling nationwide to help plan, build, and deliver powerful events that drive real business impact. Around 50% of your time will be spent on the road, staying in hotels, working shoulder-to-shoulder with their expert team, and making sure every event runs like clockwork. When you re not on the road, you ll be back at their HQ in Chelmsford, helping plan the next event. Duties & Responsibilities: Pre-Event Planning Coordinate staffing with Sales, AV, and Speaker teams Liaise with HQ to sign off venues Ensure all stock, supplies, and travel logistics are in place Make contact with venues in advance to ensure smooth handover Handle any final negotiations (e.g. catering, access times) if required Contribute to location selection in collaboration with the Marketing team Event Delivery Lead the delivery of Preview Events across the UK Brief and coordinate the on-site event team Monitor sales activity and energy in the room Troubleshoot issues and ensure every event delivers a high standard of client experience Manage logistics of travel to and from venues, including accommodation planning and driving the van where required Keep track of costs and on-the-road spend Your Background & Skill: A people person friendly, confident, and a natural communicator. Background in event operations (essential). Some experience with events sales or relationship-driven selling you enjoy the process of connecting and influencing. You re not looking for a 9 5 office role you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy travelling and working weekends when needed. You re sharp, proactive, and take pride in delivering outstanding experiences. Professional, well-presented, and switched-on someone who can represent the company at a high standard in front of clients and guests. A Driving Licence is a MUST for this role as you will need to be able to travel with the team and share driving responsibilities in the company transport vehicles. Your Background & Skill: Proven experience as an Email Marketing Manager in a multi-brand B2C or D2C environment. Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Klaviyo, Dotdigital, Braze or similar. Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, segmentation and behavioural targeting. Demonstrable success in improving performance metrics such as open rate, churn, conversion and CLV. Familiarity with booking journeys, ecommerce platforms or membership-based customer models. Confident in using Google Analytics, UTMs and attribution models to assess performance. Skilled in A/B testing, automation and personalisation techniques. Experienced in building automated journeys based on transactional and behavioural triggers. Working knowledge of data privacy, GDPR compliance and consent management. Comfortable collaborating with developers, ESP partners and data teams to optimise tools and reporting.
