Customer Account Coordinator Location: Derby, UK Office based Salary: £28,000 £30,000 per year, depending on experience Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week, with a Friday lunchtime finish The Opportunity The HR Guru is recruiting on behalf of SET Limited for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Customer Account Coordinator to join their Customer Services and Commercial team. Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, you ll play an important role in supporting customer accounts and making sure customers receive a professional, responsive and reliable service. You ll act as a key point of contact for customers, coordinate communications, maintain accurate account information and work closely with SET s Commercial, Engineering and Operations teams to keep things moving. What You ll Be Doing Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Customer Services Manager and Commercial team with day-to-day account administration. Acting as a primary point of contact for customer enquiries, updates and routine communications. Preparing, maintaining and updating customer records, account information and internal databases. Producing regular reports on account activity, order status, service updates and customer requirements. Liaising with Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams to resolve queries and maintain service levels. Monitoring customer issues and escalating concerns where required. Assisting with quotations, proposals and account documentation. Coordinating customer meetings and follow-up actions. Supporting order processing and general customer administration. Identifying opportunities to improve customer service processes and ways of working. What We re Looking For You ll be someone who is organised, confident dealing with customers and comfortable managing several priorities at once. Ideally, you ll have: Previous experience in account coordination, customer service, commercial support or a similar role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building skills. The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines. Good problem-solving skills and sound judgement. Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience using CRM or ERP systems would be desirable. Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment would be advantageous, but isn t essential. What SET Offers: Salary of £28,000 £30,000, depending on experience. 37-hour working week with a Friday lunchtime finish. 28 days holiday, including bank holidays, with three days reserved for the Christmas shutdown. Minimum 2 years' management experience in a children's residential setting. Strong understanding of safeguarding, OFSTED standards, and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Experience of managing teams and delivering consistently high standards of care. Confident in financial and resource management. Desirable: Level 7 qualification in Strategic Leadership (e.g. MBA, CMI Award). Training in therapeutic models such as PACE, TCI, or Trauma Recovery Model.
