Our food is prepared fresh daily using local suppliers and fresh ingredients. Your role as Chef de Partie: This is a position to aid the head chef on the day to day running of the kitchen and to take lead of the kitchen when the head chef is off also to help and guide our kitchen team. Your main duties will involve: Accountable for food safety and hygiene within the specified kitchen areas Training and coaching junior kitchen staff and ensuring all team members are aware of how food is stored, rotated and disposed of Input to menu development as required Prepare fresh foods to an exemplary standard on a daily basis Be responsible for achieving the food margin through portion control and management of raw ingredients Stocking shelves and ensuring stock is securely stored at the correct temperature and correctly rotated Ensure that all health & safety directives are followed in the preparation of food What we are looking for Ability to work on your own initiative Desire to learn, improve and train from those around you A proud individual that always strives to deliver their best Passion for fresh food Minimum 2 years' experience in a kitchen environment A methodical, calm and organised approach to work whilst working under pressure Precise planning and organisation. Ability to give and receive fair feedback where appropriate Level 2 in Food Safety in Catering or equivalent Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week Benefits: Discounted or free food Employee discount On-site parking Experience: Chef: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required) Work Location: In person
