Job Purpose To provide excellent service to children and young people with ASD and associated learning difficulties. We are expanding our team and are looking for a newly qualified or experienced speech and language therapist (Band 5 or Band 6) that is passionate and enthusiastic. The position is full time (can be term time only if preferred) in primary and secondary schools (mainstream with some specialist provisions) across the North London area. Part time hours are a possibility and can be discussed at interview. Main Roles and Responsibilities Assessing pupils' needs and communication environments Developing individual programmes Working directly with pupils and collaboratively with parents/support staff in the classrooms Monitoring and reviewing pupils progress in speech, language and the social use of communication Attending and contributing to annual reviews / EHCPs Providing training and advice to school staff/parents Working collaboratively with other health professionals The successful candidate will work alongside other members of the Piece of Mind Therapies team in a supportive and welcoming environment and receive regular support and supervision working towards their RCSLT competencies if newly qualified.
