The Opportunity As a Claims Assistant, you will: Be the first point of contact for prospective clients making personal injury enquiries. Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls. Gather key information and accurately record details on the case management system. Assess the viability of new claims. Ensure claims are progressed through the correct legal process. Deliver outstanding customer service with empathy and professionalism. Support the wider legal team with administrative and case-related tasks where required. What We're Looking For You'll ideally have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A confident and professional telephone manner. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). Previous experience in a customer-facing or telephone-based role. Experience within personal injury or legal services would be advantageous but is not essential. A Law degree, LPC, SQE or equivalent legal qualification is desirable. Why Apply? Senior EL/PL Fee Earner Hybrid Full-Time Permanent Take the Lead in a Growing Employers' & Public Liability Team Harkaye Core Talent is proud to be partnering with an ambitious and expanding claimant law firm to recruit an experienced Senior EL/PL Fee Earner . This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing personal injury practice where you'll play a key role in shaping and developing the Employers' Liability and Public Liability offering. Working alongside experienced legal leaders, you'll manage a high-quality caseload while helping to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the department. The Opportunity You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of litigated and pre-litigated Employers' Liability and Public Liability matters, including: Fast Track claims. Complex MOJ Portal matters. Non-Portal EL/PL claims. Part 7 and Part 8 litigation through to Trial. This is a hands-on fee-earning role with genuine opportunities to influence team development, provide technical guidance and help shape best practice within the department. Key Responsibilities Manage a varied caseload of EL/PL files from inception through to settlement or Trial. Handle litigated matters including Part 7 and Part 8 proceedings. Draft witness statements, court applications and instructions to Counsel. Prepare Trial bundles and ensure compliance with Court directions. Accurately value claims for both general and special damages. Identify litigation opportunities and develop the best strategy for each case. Deliver exceptional client care throughout the lifecycle of every claim. Support and mentor junior members of the team. Provide technical guidance and assist with case vetting where required. Work collaboratively to support the continued growth and success of the department. About You We're looking for someone who can demonstrate: A minimum of two years' experience handling litigated EL/PL personal injury claims. Strong experience managing MOJ Portal and Non-Portal claims. Excellent technical knowledge of Employers' Liability and Public Liability litigation. Confidence handling disputed liability and quantum matters. Exceptional organisational and file management skills. Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. A proactive, commercial and solutions-focused approach. Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer is desirable but not essential.
