The Role Reporting directly into the Preconstruction Lead, you will take full responsibility for estimating from first principles , preparing competitive tenders and building robust cost models for highways and water schemes. Key responsibilities include: Producing accurate estimates from first principles and building rates up. Working on a range of infrastructure projects - predominantly highways and water. Preparing tender documentation and cost analysis. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams. Supporting bid strategy to secure profitable work. The Candidate The successful applicant will bring strong civil engineering knowledge and a proven track record in estimating within an infrastructure environment . You should demonstrate: Previous experience as an Estimator / Senior Estimator in civil engineering, highways, or water. Ability to build rates from first principles. Strong commercial and numerical skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Experience with specialist subcontractors is advantageous but not essential.
