We are currently seeking an experienced Ganger/Labourer to join our team within the water industry. The successful candidate will assist with the excavation, replacement, and reinstatement of underground water services, working to site plans and drawings to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient delivery of works. Key Responsibilities: Use of CAT & Genny to locate and avoid underground services. Manual excavation around live water mains and other utility services. Replacement and renewal of lead, copper, and MDPE water service pipes. Operation of tools including Stihl saws, breakers, and wacker plates. Backfilling and reinstating works to a high standard. Interpreting and working from utility plans and drawings. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Use of trenchless technology such as compressor mole or Kobus system (desirable but not essential). Requirements: Proven experience working around underground utilities, particularly water services. EUSR/SHEA Water. Competence in working with a variety of pipe materials (lead, copper, MDPE). Experience carrying out manual excavations. Ability to read and work from technical drawings and plans. Street Works qualification (advantageous but not essential). Experience with compressor mole or Kobus system (desirable). We are seeking an experienced Ganger/Labourer to join our team. You ll play a key role in delivering essential water network maintenance, focusing on stop tap bashing, leak servicing, inlet checks, and stop tap replacements , along with associated hand digging works. Key Responsibilities Carry out stop tap bashing, freeing, and resetting to ensure functionality. Inspect, service, and replace stop taps as required. Undertake leak detection, repair, and servicing on domestic properties. Conduct inlet checks and ensure system compliance and performance. Perform manual excavation and hand digging to access underground assets. Support network operations including: Stop tap repairs and replacements. Metering installation and maintenance. Washout and hydrant renewals. Burst main repairs. Repacking ferrules. Changing banjos and related fittings. Qualifications & Skills: EUSR Water Hygiene SHEA Water Street Works (NRSWA) certification Proven experience in field-based utility works, ideally in water industry. Ability to work independently and as part of a crew in all weather conditions.
