We are looking to recruit an experienced Group Operational Finance Manager to join our Group Finance team. Based from our Head Office in Stratford, East London, the role offers hybrid working alongside flexibility for multi-site engagement and regular travel to Southampton to support operational finance activities across the wider group. As Group Operational Finance Manager, you will act as deputy to the Finance Director - Group Operational Finance and lead the day-to-day operational performance of the Group's transactional finance functions. You will play a key role in driving financial controls, process efficiency, cash management and operational performance across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Payroll, Treasury and Transactional Tax functions. What You'll Deliver Lead the day-to-day operational performance of transactional finance teams across AR, AP, Credit Control, Payroll, Treasury, Subcontractor Ledger and Transactional Tax functions. Ensure accurate, timely and compliant processing across all transactional finance activities, meeting agreed KPIs, SLAs and control standards. Support Group cashflow forecasting and drive improvements in debtor days, aged debt reduction and supplier payment controls. Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, payroll legislation and internal control frameworks, supporting internal and external audit requirements. Support the implementation of scalable shared service models, standardised processes and performance dashboards. Lead process improvements, workflow automation and systems optimisation initiatives across operational finance functions. Support key workstreams within the Group ERP transformation programme (Building Futures), including process mapping, testing, data migration and go-live readiness. Produce KPI reporting and dashboards for senior stakeholders, delivering clear operational and financial insight. Manage, coach and develop operational finance team leaders and managers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Support the integration of new businesses into Group systems, processes and operational finance structures. About You Strong operational finance leadership experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Payroll, Treasury and VAT/CIS functions. Experience managing transactional finance teams within medium to large organisations. Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, audit processes and risk management frameworks. Experience working within shared service or centralised finance operating models. Experience supporting ERP implementations, process redesign or finance transformation programmes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs, identify trends and drive operational improvements. Experience within construction, maintenance, service delivery or contracting environments would be advantageous. Experience using ERP systems such as D365, Oracle, SAP or similar desirable. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified preferred, or qualified by experience with strong operational finance leadership experience. The Role: We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Gas Scheduler to support the delivery of responsive gas repairs and maintenance services. You will be the first point of contact for tenants, handling incoming calls, logging repair requests, resolving queries efficiently, and coordinating appointments with operatives. This role requires excellent communication, strong administrative skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced social housing environment. What You'll Do: Using company systems to process orders adequately in order to invoice clients. Updating the system with all interactions with residents. Processing supervisory or trade reports to determine action required to resolve repairs. Resolution of minor complaints at call level. Maintain logs and monitor variation request. Maintain and action emails from contract mailboxes. Answering payment queries of both subcontract and client. Working with Supervisors and trades people to organise and schedule work Ordering equipment needed for the operative's job. Keeping all activity logged and up to date in an accurate manner. Liaising with staff at customer sites keeping them up to date with progress information. Follow and support policies, procedures, initiatives and work instructions related to sustainability improvement and environmental compliance.
