Head of Operations London - Hybrid Permanent Competitive Salary + Benefits Package An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced operations leader to join a dynamic, FCA/PRA-regulated banking environment at Executive Committee level. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering the operational strategy across a broad remit including IT, cybersecurity, payments, customer operations, outsourcing, fraud, and operational resilience. You ll play a key role in driving transformation, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring robust governance while supporting the organisation s growth ambitions. Key Responsibilities: Lead and deliver the overall operations and technology strategy aligned to business objectives Oversee IT infrastructure, digital platforms, cybersecurity, and systems performance Drive operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery frameworks Manage payment operations (Faster Payments, CHAPS, BACS) and ensure accuracy across reconciliations and settlements Lead fraud prevention and transaction monitoring activities Own supplier and outsourcing relationships, ensuring performance and compliance Deliver large-scale transformation and systems integration programmes Ensure full compliance with UK regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, GDPR, Consumer Duty) Provide strategic insight and reporting at Executive Committee level Build, lead, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams About You: Proven senior leadership experience within a UK bank, building society, or FCA regulated financial institution Strong knowledge of banking operations, payments, KYC/AML, and customer servicing Deep understanding of UK regulatory requirements including operational resilience frameworks Track record of delivering operational transformation and technology change Experienced in managing third-party providers and complex supplier landscapes Confident influencing at Board and regulator level Strategic thinker with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach Why Apply?
