Purpose of the Role The Project Engineer will support the delivery of reactive civil and marine engineering works. Key will be to provide engineering, technical and project coordination support. The role holder will work with operational and site teams to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery. Project Engineering & Delivery Support the management and delivery of reactive works projects. Assist in ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and design requirements. Coordinate project information between office and site teams Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Support all stages of project delivery, from initial enquiry through to completion. Technical & Design Support Review drawings, specifications and technical information. Assist in resolving design and technical issues during project delivery. Produce sketches, drawings and engineering calculations where required. Contribute to engineering solutions that support safe and efficient delivery. Planning & Coordination Assist with planning and sequencing of works. Support procurement of materials and equipment. Organise resources in line with programme requirements. Prepare and maintain project documentation. Site Support Attend site to carry out surveys, inspections and progress reviews. Support setting out, quality checks and verification of completed works. Work with Site Managers and Supervisors to ensure works are delivered correctly. Provide technical support to site teams as required. Commercial & Reporting Assist in preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions. Support tracking of project costs and resource usage. Contribute to reporting on project progress, risks and issues. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Ensure all works are delivered in compliance with HSE standards. Support preparation of RAMS and other site documentation.Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities. Escalate any HSE concerns to management immediately. Programme, and carry out where necessary, the design, detailing and material scheduling. Issue and coordinate information requests, drawings and queries between customers, engineers, architects, and sub-contract design office/s as required. Issue material schedules and liaise with suppliers to ensure effective delivery. Prepare, check and issue deck and/or slab calculations using in-house software. Deal with any design related queries raised by the site team during the construction phase. Develop solutions to non-standard design issues. Prepare and submit As Built drawings and documentation for the customer O&M file. Attend and contribute to internal Technical meetings and deliver agreed actions. Provide comprehensive responses to technical queries received through the Technical Helpdesk. Preferred Experience & Qualifications: HNC/D or equivalent in a related discipline. 2 years of experience in a design related role. Other Skills or Qualifications: Competent with Microsoft Office 365 suite (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel). Competent with AutoCAD .

Due to a number of projects starting this year and a busy tender book within new builds and refurbishments they are seeking an energetic Estimator to help the small friendly team price projects from initial conception. Duties; To carry out estimates / tender submissions to all enquiries and produce competitively priced tenders taking account of properly researched costs and contingencies. Ensuring quotes are turned around in a timely fashion and we meet all promised return dates. Manage visits to survey works requirements on site. Carry out a Tender Adjudication with at least one director before any tender is submitted. Estimating; Work alongside the Lead Estimator to ensure a complete tender return. Process enquiries from £150,000 to over £3 million and ensure these are returned on time and at the right price. Visits potential clients, survey work and produce priced schedules so that clear concise documents are available once we win the work. Obtain prices from suppliers and sub-contractors. Sales and Marketing; Support the company in generating new business. Work with contracts managers and Directors to ensure steady flow of work requiring pricing. Chase up and monitor leads. Assist in bid management on targeted projects. Generate new business through existing contacts and through generating new leads.
