We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy and friendly client on a long-term basis in Saint Ives, Cambridgeshire. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a skilled technician with strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and filter replacements Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently and accurately Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot faults Order parts and materials required for repairs Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work Adhere to health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workshop Required Skills Strong mechanical aptitude with proven diagnostic and repair skills Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment Solid knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines Ability to work autonomously and use initiative when required Experience & Qualifications City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification OR time served experience What s on Offer Competitive hourly pay rate of £26.00 per hour Overtime/Additional Hours always available Monday to Friday - 6.00am to 3.00pm Long-term with the potential to secure permanent employment Supportive and professional working environment This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic company and progress your career as an HGV Technician.
