CONTRACTS AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER SALARY £30,000 - £35,000 pa plus bonus (typically around 20% of salary) and excellent benefits LOCATION Hybrid role - 3 days a week in the South West London office plus 2 days working from home REPORTING TO Legal Director COMPANY AND BACKGROUND Our client is a very well-established and global leader with a strong reputation within its sector. They are now seeking to recruit a Contracts and Compliance Officer to join their team and support a number of important legal and compliance functions within the business. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused individual to take responsibility for the administration of commercial contracts and to support key compliance activities across the company. The role will involve working closely with the Legal Director and other internal departments to ensure that contracts and compliance processes are managed efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. Typical responsibilities will include: Contract Administration Administration of customer contracts from initial drafting through to final signature Support the contract negotiation process and refer complex legal matters when appropriate Maintain and develop the company contracts database Export Control and Trade Compliance Reviewing restricted party screening matches and escalating potential concerns as necessary Coordinating customer export compliance declaration processes Preparing compliance documentation including ECCN classifications, country of origin statements and dual-use declarations Anti-Bribery Governance Acting as Chair of the internal Bribery Committee and organising and hosting meetings Monitoring developments and regulatory changes in anti-bribery compliance Maintaining the gifts and hospitality register and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained General Compliance Responding to compliance related enquiries across the business Preparing statements of compliance when required Providing training on contractual and compliance matters, including the use of the contracts database Anti-Counterfeit Responsibilities Liaising with external providers of anti-counterfeit services Preparing and managing documentation relating to anti-counterfeit matters Data Protection Responsibilities Providing administrative support for the company's data protection compliance Maintaining records, logs and documentation relating to data protection processes CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS Previous experience in a contracts administration, legal support or compliance related role is essential Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communication skills and the ability to work with internal stakeholders Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadline Please apply now by sending your CV or contact Lisa Grimes for a confidential chat

To support this expansion, they are seeking a Senior Manager to join their international enterprise contract facilitation team. The Role of the International Senior Contracts Manager As Senior Manager you will manage the delivery of a contracting capability across international markets (EMEA, APAC, and Canada). Typically this will cover supporting contract review, issue identification, negotiation and escalation management in collaboration with the contract legal support team and other cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the training and development of international Contract Facilitators Collaborate with the International Director to drive team performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage multiple complex contract projects across international markets. Resolve complex negotiation issues and drive deals to execution. Ensure compliance with legal standards and escalation protocols. Act as the final escalation point for contract-related queries in the Director's absence. Candidate Profile Fluent English is essential. Fluent also in either Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, or German is preferred but not essential Formal legal education (LLB, paralegal certification, etc.) is mandatory Proven experience in contract redlining and negotiation. Leadership experience in legal or contracting roles within Pharma/Biotech/CRO. Leadership & Team Development skills Expertise in international contracting, including regional nuances (EMEA/APAC/Canada) Excellent understanding of pharma contracting compliance and policies. Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools; familiarity with Icertis, preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage intake, template selection, drafting, negotiation, and execution Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills High adaptability in complex, fast-paced environments.
