Job Description: As a Tool Stores Technician at Cosworth, you will play a key role in keeping our machine shop running efficiently and ensuring the shop floor has the tools it needs to perform at its best. You ll monitor tooling usage through our internal system, work with suppliers and purchasing to manage costs, and coordinate repairs or replacements as required. The role also involves assembling and inspecting tooling for production, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with engineering teams to support tooling performance and continuous improvement. The Role: Oversee the machine shop tool stores. Monitor tool & consumable usage to maintain optimum stock levels for production on our tool management system (TDM). Liaise with purchasing & tooling suppliers to reduce tooling costs and obtain alternative options. Working with Production Engineering & Design to offer performance solutions for tooling issues. Organise replacement and regrind of tooling & monitor cost savings. To assemble tools for Shop Floor Machine Tools as per job pack. Measure tool assemblies accurately & update any changes required. Raise purchase requisitions using SAP for tools & consumables. Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities. Support the Company s compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice. Candidate Profile: In depth knowledge of machine tooling, backends & cutting technology. Knowledge of tool assembly & measuring equipment such as Zoller. Basic numerical and computer skills, including previous use of SAP. Be able to carry out tool geometry inspection. Job Description: Our Engine Test Technicians are responsible for carrying out tests on complete engines or sub-assemblies, also rigging and maintaining the test hardware. Engine Test Technicians are also responsible for operation and programming of automated test equipment, in accordance with Cosworth standards and practices. The Role: Fitting, removing and operation of engines (part or whole) onto dynamometers or motor rigs. Fitting and set up of instrumentation onto test pieces. Operation, maintenance, and calibration of common test bed equipment. Able to run dynos and rigs control systems in test both manual and automatic modes. Be able to change testbed control system variables at engineers direction. Trouble shoot and resolve issues arising that prevent test work progressing. Have familiarity with at least one engine ECU software. Assist dyno engineering with test bed conversions/upgrades as required. Maintain paperwork for tracking, lifting, fault database, maintenance sheets, and process measurements/checks. Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities. Candidate Profile: Previous experience working in an engine test environment. Manual dexterity. A customer focused approach. Apply structural logical approach to work, working in a clean organised manner. Excellent time management and planning skills. Self-motivated. Confident and clear communication; verbal and written. Good understanding of internal combustion engines and engine test methodologies. BTEC, ONC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
