NEW POSITION . FM Helpdesk Operator Location: Edinburgh Confero Recruitment Group are seeking a proactive and customer-focused FM Helpdesk Operator to join our clients Facilities Management team. Acting as the first point of contact for maintenance requests, you will manage reactive and planned works, ensuring excellent service delivery and compliance with agreed service levels. Key Responsibilities -Receive and log maintenance requests. -Allocate work orders to engineers and contractors.- -Monitor job progress and provide updates to clients and stakeholders. -Maintain accurate records and reports within the CAFM system. -Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) scheduling. Requirements -Previous experience in a helpdesk, customer service, or facilities management environment. -Strong communication and organisational skills. -Experience using CAFM or service management systems.

About the Role An experienced Heating / Gas Engineer is required to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, as well as minor installation works, across a range of commercial properties including schools, healthcare sites, offices, retail and public buildings. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial heating systems Diagnose faults and repair heating plant and equipment Service boilers, water heaters and associated controls Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs Complete minor installation and replacement works Carry out system checks, combustion analysis and performance testing Identify and report remedial works Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations Liaise with clients and internal teams Participate in on-call rota Experience and Qualifications Essential: ACS Commercial Gas (CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A) Current Gas Safe registration Commercial heating experience Full UK driving licence
