Electric Motor Winder/Fitter Reports To: Works Manager About the Opportunity Box Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a long-established engineering business with an excellent reputation for the repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of electric motors and rotating equipment. Due to continued growth and customer demand, our client is seeking an experienced Electric Motor Winder/Fitter to join their skilled engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in electric motor repairs, dismantling, inspecting and assembling AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, generators, alternators, dan units and other rotating machinery Job Purpose The successful candidate will be responsible for the dismantling, repair, winding, assembly, and testing of a wide range of electric motors and rotating equipment. The role also involves supporting site-based activities and participating in the company's call-out rota, ensuring customers receive a high-quality and responsive engineering service. Duties: Dismantle and repair a wide range of AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, generators, alternators, dan units and other rotating machinery To have additional knowledge and experience of gearboxes, pumps, fan units, generators and other assemblies that include electric motors/windings; Testing skills - both static and dynamic testing; to include surge testing, core loss testing, pump tests, dynamic no load testing etc. To complete the relevant documentation and report on their faults (some may include environmental discharge), including test results at all stages of repair; To inspect and test motor subassemblies, e.g. brakes, switches, force ventilation units; To assemble motors and other rotating equipment following repair; To test units following repair and assembly; To be able to clean and prepare commutators for winding, including post winding processes such as undercutting etc; To take part in the call out system. To be able to help in attending site with the various site-based activities carried out by the department. Must have: Electric motor repairs, dismantling, inspecting and assembling AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, generators, alternators, dan units and other rotating machinery - experience essential Happy to work overtime one week per month (rota) Engineering qualification related to the repair of electric motors/rotating equipment. Previous workshop experience in a related role. Full clean Driving Licence Experience at site related activities. Take full commercial ownership of marketplace performance across the UK and Europe. Manage and grow the existing UK marketplace business. Lead the launch and development of new European marketplace channels. Drive sales, revenue and profitability across all marketplace activity. Take ownership of P&L and margin performance. Manage pricing, promotions, assortment and stock strategy. Develop marketplace trading plans and forecasts. Identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability across existing channels. Execute the company's European marketplace expansion strategy. Launch new marketplaces and territories throughout Europe. Build strong commercial relationships with marketplace partners. Analyse marketplace performance and use data to identify opportunities and drive decision-making. Work closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, product, operations, finance and supply chain. Manage marketplace activity through systems including Rithum and Business Central. Monitor competitor activity, market trends and marketplace developments. Provide regular commercial reporting and performance analysis. Essential experience: Proven marketplace management experience. Experience within home, homeware, lifestyle, consumer goods or licensed products would be highly desirable. This is a role for an experienced marketplace professional who understands the commercial side of marketplace trading. Strong UK marketplace experience (Amazon would be a bonus) Proven European marketplace experience. Experience launching and growing new marketplaces or marketplace channels. Experience working across multiple marketplace platforms. The ability to develop and execute marketplace growth strategies. .
