Job Title: Solar Project Manager (Electrical) Location: Kent Role Type: Permanent Project Types: Commercial & Industrial Solar PV About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager (Electrical) to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial solar PV and electrical installation projects across the UK. This is a hands-on role combining electrical expertise with project and site management responsibilities. You will oversee projects from installation through to testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise electrical installation teams across commercial and industrial projects. Manage the delivery of Solar PV, electrical infrastructure, battery storage and EV charging projects. Oversee containment, switchgear, cabling, power distribution and associated electrical works. Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and equipment to meet project deadlines. Manage testing, inspection, commissioning and certification activities. Prepare and manage RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and project documentation. Working on systems ranging from 11kV to 132kV , you will be responsible for testing, commissioning, fault finding and energisation support across HV substations, ensuring all installations are delivered safely, compliantly and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead commissioning activities on HV substations, Solar PV, BESS, ICP and DNO projects. Produce and execute commissioning plans, inspection test plans (ITPs) and commissioning documentation. Oversee installation works to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
