Reliability Manager Edinburgh FMCG Manufacturing We are working on behalf of a well established FMCG manufacturer in Edinburgh, who are looking to appoint a Reliability Manager to join their site leadership team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering or reliability professional to take ownership of reliability strategy across a busy, fast paced manufacturing site. You will lead a team of reliability technicians and a planner, working closely with the Engineering Manager to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime and build a strong culture of continuous improvement. What you will be doing Take responsibility for the site's overall reliability performance, including breakdown frequency, repair times, planned maintenance compliance and equipment availability Lead investigations into equipment failures, making sure the real cause is found and properly fixed rather than just patched up Manage and develop the maintenance system used across the site, ensuring planned maintenance is carried out on time and the data is used properly Assess which assets are most critical to the business and help shape future investment decisions Lead, coach and develop your team, setting clear objectives and supporting their growth What we are looking for Experience leading and developing engineering or maintenance teams, ideally within FMCG or another fast paced manufacturing environment A solid track record improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime A good understanding of root cause investigation techniques Experience using a computerised maintenance management system Some exposure to predictive maintenance methods such as vibration analysis or thermography Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with people across the site at all levels Why apply This is a hands on leadership role with real scope to shape how reliability is managed on site.
