PRINT OPERATOR / LARGE FORMAT PRODUCTION SPECIALIST Join a Dynamic and Professional Large-Format Print Production Team We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Print Operator / Large Format Production Specialist to join our growing production team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in large-format print production. Experience with dye-sublimation printing would be advantageous, although it is not essential, as full training will be provided. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where quality, efficiency, teamwork, and technical expertise are highly valued. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain a range of large-format printing equipment, including Mimaki, Colorado, Arizona, and Epson printers (training provided where required). - Produce high-quality print output across a variety of materials and substrates. - Manage daily production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards. - Carry out quality control checks throughout all stages of production to ensure client expectations are consistently met. - Work closely with the production team and communicate any issues promptly to management to minimise downtime. - Maintain an efficient workflow while ensuring production accuracy and consistency. - Conduct final inspections and quality assurance checks on completed projects before dispatch. - Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and preventative care of production equipment. - Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement. - Monitor stock levels of production materials and report inventory requirements as needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and production readiness across all files in a fast-paced print production environment. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in prepress workflows, digital imaging, and Photoshop retouching, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage high volumes of Adobe InDesign mechanical files, ensuring accuracy and production readiness Update layouts with color-corrected and retouched images for print production Prepare and export print-ready PDFs for approval and final output Perform advanced image editing, color correction, and retouching in Adobe Photoshop Ensure proper use of file formats, resolution standards, and color profiles across all output types Maintain consistency across large batches of images and production files Collaborate with prepress, production, and creative teams to meet tight deadlines Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy before final print output Track file status including incoming, in-progress, and approved-for-print jobs Support understanding of printing, finishing, lamination, and cutting workflows (preferred) Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (required) Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat for prepress workflows Strong understanding of color correction, retouching, color spaces, and print production standards Knowledge of file formats, resolution requirements, and print-ready file preparation Ability to manage high-volume workloads under tight deadlines with accuracy under pressure Strong attention to detail with ability to self-QC all work before submission Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to collaborate across production and creative teams Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced production environment Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and production schedules
