Experienced HGV1 Container Driver now required. You will have experience of working in Southampton Docks and have an up to date i.d card. Flexibility is required regarding start times which can differ but are generally early morning. Also, you will have to be prepared to stay out on the road all week sleeping (tramping) in the vehicle, for which a night out allowance will be paid. Depending on your routes, some days will enable you to return to base to sleep at home. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Refuse Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the community by efficiently collecting waste and recyclables. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. A strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility is essential. Are you an experienced HGV2 Driver, preferably with Refuse Collection Vehicle experience (or similar) or are you willing to learn? Do you prefer to start early at 0600 and finish at 1530? Are you happy to help your crew load wheelie bins onto the back of the truck when safe and able to do so? Do you want to earn £18.26 per hour increasing to £18.57 per hour after 12 weeks? If so, then this could be the opportunity for you. You must have held a Category C HGV2 license for at least 6 months and have at least 60 days commercial driving experience during this time.
