We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Design & Development team, helping to develop the next generation of handheld test equipment and cloud-connected software solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern technologies across embedded Linux, C++, Qt and Microsoft Azure, developing products that are used globally. What you'll be doing As part of our collaborative engineering team, you'll be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, deployment and ongoing product enhancement. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and developing C++ applications for Linux-based handheld network test equipment. Creating intuitive user interfaces using Qt (Widgets and/or Qt Quick/QML). Developing cloud-connected functionality supporting our AnyWARE Cloud platform. Designing and developing services hosted within Microsoft Azure. Implementing REST API integrations between products and cloud services. Applying secure software development and cybersecurity-by-design principles. Supporting compliance with the RED Cybersecurity requirements and Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Contributing to software architecture, code reviews and continuous improvement. Working with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. What we're looking for Essential Commercial software development experience using C and C++. Strong experience developing applications with Qt. Linux or Embedded Linux development experience. Experience developing cloud-connected products or services. Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based architectures. Experience using Git, GitHub, GitLab or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of secure software development practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A collaborative approach with a passion for developing high-quality software. Desirable Experience in any of the following would be advantageous: Python ASP.NET / C# React or Node.js Qt Quick / QML GitLab CI/CD Linux driver development SaaS and cloud-hosted applications Machine Learning Networking technologies including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VLAN, IP, ARP, LLDP, SNMP and MIBs Network testing and measurement products Why Join TREND Networks? International Finance Manager / Accountant (US & Germany) Help shape the finance function of a growing international business. We're looking for a qualified finance manager/accountant who enjoys variety, ownership and working internationally. This isn't a role where you'll only produce month-end reports. You'll be trusted to take ownership of the finance activities for our US and German businesses, working across financial reporting, compliance, audit, tax, treasury, business partnering and continuous improvement. Reporting to our Global Financial Controller, you'll work with colleagues across the UK, USA and Germany, leading finance activities across multiple entities while helping to develop our international finance team. The Role You'll have ownership of the finance activities for our US and German entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and commercial insight while supporting the continued growth of our international business. Key responsibilities include: Managing the finance activities for our US and German entities. Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations. Delivering accurate month-end and year-end reporting. Managing intercompany accounting, reconciliations and multi-currency transactions (GBP, EUR and USD). Supporting treasury activities, banking relationships and cash flow forecasting. Managing statutory reporting, audits and tax compliance for the US and Germany. Leading US Sales Tax compliance, including nexus monitoring and multi-state filings. Partnering with colleagues across the business to provide financial insight that supports commercial decision-making. Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. Leading, coaching and developing members of our US & German finance teams based in the UK and USA. Identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls and financial processes. About You You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and working collaboratively across an international business. You'll ideally bring: At least five years' accounting experience. Experience managing finance activities within US entities. Strong knowledge of US Sales Tax compliance, nexus requirements and multi-state reporting. Experience of statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance. Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience. Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing finance team members. Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills. Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems. It would also be beneficial if you have experience within an international SME or private equity-backed business, knowledge of Microsoft NAV, Business Central or Sage, or German or French language skills.
