The Secondary Science Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, hands-on, and skills-based science learning experiences aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This role emphasizes inquiry, scientific practices, real-world problem solving, and authentic application of science concepts to deepen student understanding and transfer of learning beyond the classroom. The teacher collaborates closely with department, grade-level, and house teams to plan coherent, standards-driven instruction; create inclusive learning environments; and design meaningful assessments that reflect student thinking and growth. Responsibilities include differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs, integrating appropriate technology, monitoring and documenting student progress using formative and summative assessments, communicating regularly with students and families, and engaging in continuous professional learning as a reflective practitioner and collaborative team member. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or higher, with a valid teaching certificate/license in content area Advanced Placement experience is an asset.
