Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our busy Furniture removals team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with box vehicles. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for Loading and transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations through the UK, providing a high level of customer service and must be able to work as part of a team. Duties Operate 18T box lorries for the transportation of goods within the UK. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed, including cleaning and minor repairs. Experience in furniture handling and advantage. Must have and maintain full driver CPC Skills Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably with box vehicles. Valid commercial HGV class 2 driving licence with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining vehicle performance.
