EHS Advisor (Major Hazard Site) Permanent Full-time On-site (West Coast Scotland) Salary: 50- 55,000 + excellent benefits package The opportunity We're working with a specialist operator of high-hazard industrial storage infrastructure to appoint an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor for a busy, safety-critical site in West Coast Scotland. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to shape standards on a developing operation and support the site's continued progress towards full COMAH compliance. You'll act as the day-to-day EHS point of contact for the local leadership team, supporting both operational activity and project work, and helping embed a strong, practical safety culture. What you'll be doing Provide professional EHS guidance to site leadership, operations and project teams, covering occupational safety, environment, risk and process safety. Support safe delivery of engineering and improvement projects, including CDM responsibilities where applicable. Help maintain and continuously improve the site's Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SMS/EMS), aligning with recognised standards (e.g., ISO 45001 / ISO 14001). Carry out inspections, audits and assurance activities across site operations and contractor work. Lead or support incident/near-miss investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action close-out. Produce clear, actionable performance reporting and share learning to drive continual improvement. Contribute to emergency preparedness arrangements, exercises and readiness reviews. Support management of change by advising on suitable controls and safety barriers for engineering changes. Promote best practice and coach teams/contractors to improve EHS performance. What we're looking for Proven EHS experience within a major hazard / COMAH-regulated environment (or closely related high-risk industry such as fuel storage, chemicals, terminals, or heavy process operations). NEBOSH-qualified (or equivalent) with a practical, hands-on approach on operational sites. Sound working knowledge of COMAH principles, risk management and the application of ALARP. Comfortable with a range of risk assessment tools (e.g., general RA, manual handling, HAZID/HAZOP). Confident communicator who can build credibility with site teams, contractors and external stakeholders/regulators. Strong report writing and attention to detail; competent with MS Office (Excel skills beneficial). Full UK driving licence (some travel may be required). Our Heathrow based fuel operations client is now taking applications for an experienced Control of Works Coordinator. You'll lead the day-to-day Control of Work and contractor management processes, ensuring safe, compliant delivery of works across the aviation fuel tank farms and hydrant systems. You'll be the central point of contact for contracted work on site, driving high standards in process safety, permits, and site assurance.
