Due to growth and an internal promotion, they are now looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their friendly and supportive team. Responsibilities will include- Working closely with new and existing companies in order to increase sales for the territory Developing a prospect list and making inroads to customers via a range of means e.g. cold calling, email outreach and marketing activities Seek out new opportunities for business growth Attend exhibitions be a company presence at conferences and demonstrations Accurate record keeping and data logging using company CRM Constantly keep up to date with industry and product knowledge Work as part of a team to drive business forwards Compile proposals for new business To be considered for this opportunity you should- Have experience of working in a sales and commercial position, ideally in the scientific industry, however we would also consider someone coming from a technical sales background e.g. Technology / Electronics Have a proven track-record of being responsible for winning new business Have an ability to utilise cold-calling and video meetings in an effective manner Be able to communicate and negotiate effectively Have great organisational skills Be happy to present and work closely with customers Ideally have a background in chemistry or related scientific area Hold a full UK driving license and be happy to cover the South West UK territory Have experience working with a CRM You will be rewarded with a friendly, inclusive working environment, competitive salary and company benefits such as bonus and company car as well as strong progression opportunities. Do you have experience within QA for the cleanroom assembly of high-precision opto-mechanical instrumentation? Join a world-renowned research organisation involved in pioneering space flight projects. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join a world-renowned research organisation to assist with projects focused on the build and testing of instrumentation to be used in spaceflight missions. You will be responsible for providing QA oversight of high precision cleanroom assembly and testing of opto-mechanical assemblies and scientific instrumentation. Role Overview Temporary , Full Time or Part Time (minimum requirement of 3 days per week) Start Date in October 2025, expected End Date in March or April 2026. £25-30ph DOE. Witnessing and oversight of assembly and testing of high precision opto-mechanical assemblies and instruments. Production and maintenance of QA documentation and traceability registers. Ensure all work and documentation aligns with existing QA standards and ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardisation) standards. Requirements Strong Prior experience of practical QA processes within a high-quality, low volume opto-mechanical manufacturing setting. Experience working in a cleanroom environment with high-precision scientific instrumentation or opto-mechanical assemblies. Knowledge of ECSS standards would be highly beneficial. Knowledge of high precision metrology techniques highly beneficial. Must be available to begin in October in Oxford.
