The Vacancy We are offering an opportunity to be part of the team at our newly refurbished, busy main office in the heart of Bloomsbury. Based within the Connexional Property Support team, this role will provide a valuable and essential contribution to the Front Desk Operations at Methodist Church House. Working within the new Front Desk Operations team, you will ensure the delivery of a professional, welcoming, and customer-focused front of house service for all visitors and building users and the wider Methodist Church. The role will be broad and varied, overseeing and undertaking a range of administrative, facilities and security support functions, working both independently and in collaboration with Building and Facilities colleagues to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. About You We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive contribution to the work of the Front Desk Operations team and be a welcoming presence to all those using the building or contacting the church. We need someone who is collaborative by nature, and equally comfortable working under your own initiative when needed. You will preferably have experience of working in a customer facing environment with a range of stakeholders. As the role will help underpin and contribute to supporting the team's administrative and organisational function, it is essential that you have relevant experience and confidence in these areas. Equally, experience and ability to plan tasks effectively will be an essential quality. Job Title : Senior Administrator (Ministerial Oversite) Salary : £35,500-£38,000 depending on experience Contract: Permanent Hours : Full Time (35 hours per week) Location : London WC1H. Based in the heart of Bloomsbury, this position is easily commutable via Euston Square, King's Cross, and Russell Square stations. Hybrid Working : For office-based roles, a hybrid working pattern may be possible, typically 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, in accordance with the team and organisation needs. The Vacancy An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the support team within the Conference Office in the Connexional Team of the Methodist Church in Britain. We are looking to appoint a Senior Administrator to assist in facilitating the efficient operation of the principal decision-making and oversight bodies of the Methodist Church. The post holder will manage the processes for stationing of ministers, including the Stationing Matching Group, the Initial Stationing Sub-Committee, the Stationing Action Group. The successful applicant will also, in conjunction with colleagues, prepare the draft of the stations to be presented to the Conference. In this crucial role, the Senior Administrator will provide administrative support, alongside the Executive Officer: Ministerial Oversight, to the Ministerial Coordinator for the Oversight of Ordained Ministries. The post holder will also provide executive support to the Authorisations Committee, including the preparation of the Committee's report to the Conference. The successful applicant will also supervise the arrangement and servicing of meetings and Conference Office events. This role also involves working collaboratively with support staff in the Conference Office by supporting other parts of the team as they face peaks in their own areas of work.
