Collaborate with the business area and assisting FBPs to prepare budgets and forecasts, reviewing the projected costs ensuring they are on a sound basis. Build relationships with the Business stakeholders, FBP team and the wider Finance & Performance directorate, demonstrating the ability to work and communicate at various levels in the organisation and to work well within the team Collaborate and support the broader Finance & Performance directorate on ad hoc analysis as and when required, including process optimisation as required demonstrating the willingness and ability to learn new tasks Support the FBPs to review and challenge of investment projects, ensuring effective financial management and sound financial planning assumptions Essential Criteria: This role is ideal for individuals who are currently studying towards, or have a strong interest in pursuing, a professional qualification with a recognised UK accounting body (eg ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). The successful candidate will be a commercially minded accountant. The role holder will have a sound understanding of Finance Business Partnering: Ability to engage with and build effective relationships with stakeholders from across the organisation and at all levels Ability to work with Microsoft Suite, including the preparation of PowerPoint slides Good excel skill Excellent analytical skill and attention to detail Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and ongoing change Ability to communicate financial information and analysis to stakeholders verbally and in writing Ability to work in a team When required, support wider Team deliverables eg providing cover to the PRA Finance Business Partner as well as contributing to Finance wide processes and deliverables Desirable Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems. Understanding of public sector finance or similar environments.
