ILMT Technical Specialist (Contract) Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Cheshire) Duration: 12 Months (Initial) Start Date: February 2026 Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Outside IR35) or 1 year FTC Role Overview We are seeking a highly technical ILMT Specialist to take full ownership of our IBM License Metric Tool environment. This is a "hands-on-keyboard" role focused on the technical configuration, health, and optimization of the ILMT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring that our sub-capacity reporting is accurate, the BigFix agents are functioning correctly across a complex estate, and all technical gaps in IBM PVU/RVU reporting are remediated. Key Responsibilities Installation & Upgrades: Perform technical upgrades of the ILMT server, BigFix console, and database components (DB2/SQL). Agent Management: Troubleshoot and remediate BigFix agent communication issues across Windows, Linux, and AIX environments. VM Manager Configuration: Configure and maintain connections between ILMT and virtualization managers (vCenter, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.) to ensure accurate core counting. Scan Optimization: Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot software and capacity scans to ensure 100% coverage of the estate. Bundling & Classification: Technically manage the software classification process, including manual bundling and excluding instances where necessary. Catalog Updates: Regularly update the IBM Software Catalog and PVU tables to reflect the latest licensing rules. Your Technical Toolkit ILMT/BigFix Expert: Deep technical knowledge of the ILMT architecture and the BigFix platform (Fixlets, Analysis, and Relay configuration). OS Proficient: Strong command line skills in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments. Virtualization: Practical experience configuring VM Manager Tool (VMMAN) for complex, multi-layered virtual environments. Database Management: Comfortable with IBM DB2 or MS SQL Server backend management specifically for ILMT data. Scripting: Ability to use PowerShell or Bash to automate agent deployment or health checks is highly desirable. Working Pattern Remote-First: This is a purely technical delivery role that can be performed 90% remotely. Cheshire Presence: Occasional travel to our Cheshire site for secure environment access or high-level technical syncs (typically once or twice a month or as project needs dictate). Why Apply? Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Remote in Europe Must be EU national or have full unrestricted right to work This senior position is for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead large-scale data centre projects across the EMEA region . The role requires managing the full project lifecycle , from initial design concept through to successful client handover, while maintaining high-quality delivery standards and fostering strong client relationships. Core Responsibilities Design & Technical Leadership: Lead the design and specification of Mechanical Building Services systems across all project stages (concept to completion). Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and maintain continuous design and installation quality checks and control. Ensure all deliverables strictly uphold internal design standards and meet the company's quality assurance criteria before client issue. Project Management & Delivery: Confidently manage project schedules and delivery. Produce fully detailed tender packages , reports, analysis, and recommendations. Collaborate with clients and the design team to accurately develop project scopes . Team Leadership & Mentoring: Coordinate and lead the project engineering team. Actively mentor and guide junior engineering staff in their professional development and the application of technical standards. Autonomy: Capable of taking the project lead with minimal input from the management team. Candidate Profile & Requirements Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience is required, specifically within Data Centres, Industrial, High-Tech, Commercial, and/or Healthcare engineering projects. Education: Possession of an Honours Degree is expected, with Chartered Engineer status being an advantage. Industry Knowledge: Must possess a deep understanding of core engineering standards, including CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, and EN Standards . Software Proficiency: Design & Documentation: Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and REVIT . Analysis: Experience with any other engineering analysis software is beneficial. General: Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite . Skills: Demonstrated excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills . We are looking to recruit a pensions implementation consultant. You will either have performed the role previously or be a pension administration subject matter expert with excellent communication and project management skills. What does that mean ? We are looking to recruit an experience MS SharePoint engineer. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to provide comprehensive 2nd line support of SharePoint in an Azure, M365 environment. Any experience working with Microsoft Collaboration tools such as Loop, Pulse or Viva will also be an advantage. If you have project experience, delivering Change requests and new SharePoint environments that will be an advantage. In this role if you bring the desire to learn and can demonstrate this along with the track record of supporting SharePoint in a Cloud environment, then this is a role were you will be trained and mentored to become an accomplished SharePoint Systems Engineer and have the opportunity to be involved in extensive project work and grow your SharePoint development capability. In turn you will ideally mentor SharePoint administrators to help improve their wider support skills. This is initially a 6 month FTC and a hybrid role requiring regular attendance at our clients office in Brighton. There is a good chance of extension / going permanent.
