Working a combination of days and nights , the role of Commissioning Engineer works alongside the Hillingdon based project team and the development engineers during the commissioning stages of multiple projects and ensuring a smooth handover to the customer. Ideally with a background in the control system industry, core duties will include (but not be limited to): Checking installation of equipment is to the correct standard prior to starting testing. Performing testing of a system according to the Installation and Commissioning Test document. PLC data input tests including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs. Field device set-up Performing site acceptance tests, fault find and correction of any PLC code or wiring issues. Producing documentation such as RAMs; test documentation; weekly progress reports etc. Attending site progress meetings, toolbox talks etc and providing professional representation of the business especially during client-facing test conditions. To be considered for the varied and challenging Commissioning Engineer positions offering genuine scope for career progression and development, it is envisaged that successful candidates will demonstrate at least 3 years relevant commissioning work experience and be qualified to at least HND level or above in electrical or control engineering . As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated multi skilled Field Service Engineer to complement their professional team and provide the highest levels of technical customer service and satisfaction in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of a range of automated laboratory equipment associated with Clinical and Industrial markets in the Hertfordshire region of the UK. Once trained on the portfolio of solutions, the successful Field Service Engineer candidate will undertake a range of Installation, Planned Preventative Service, Reactive Repair and Technical Support activities in various customer-facing environments that will include hospitals and laboratories through to household name blue chip FMCG clients, managing your vehicle stock inventory efficiently and within guidelines, and ensuring activities are completed on time and to the highest levels of accuracy with supporting documentation completed and submitted in accordance with the engineering and service department requirements. Other duties will include (but not be limited to) assisting with project work when required in order to ensure deadlines are achieved and providing customer on-call support as part of the Service Team rota.
