We are currently seeking Production Operatives to become part of our client s fast-paced packaging team. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers the chance to secure a permanent position while developing your skills within a supportive and growing company. Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Working Hours This role operates on a rotating shift pattern (39 hours per week): Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06:00 AM to 02:00 PM Friday 05:00 AM to 12:00 PM Week 2: Monday to Thursday 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM Friday 12:00 PM to 07:00 PM Overtime Saturday (6:00 AM to 12:00 PM) Paid at time and a half Sunday (6:00 AM to 12:00 PM) Paid at double time Key Responsibilities Ensure that Health & Safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level Understand and follow instructions on specification sheets relevant to the role Liaise with relevant departments to ensure the correct quantities of materials are available for each job Work with the crew to set up jobs in the most efficient and timely manner Stack and send pallets down the line, ensuring they are suitable for palletisation and presented to a first-class standard Work with the crew to ensure all cleaning and basic maintenance is carried out to a high standard and within required timeframes Assess manual handling processes and make recommendations for improvement to the Operator Immediately report any mechanical issues to the Machine Operator Ensure resources within your control are used efficiently, reducing cost and waste wherever possible Provide and implement basic solutions to issues affecting product quality and operations Contribute ideas to improve customer service levels and/or reduce costs wherever possible Maintain a positive, can-do attitude What We re Looking For Previous production experience (essential) Good attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Ability to work effectively as part of a team Access to your own transport (essential) If you have production experience and are looking for immediate work in the Ely, Cambridgeshire area, we would love to hear from you.
