Key Responsibilities Provide specialist care for clients with complex needs (e.g. PEG feeding, epilepsy, spinal injuries). Assist with all aspects of personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence management. Administer medication in line with care plans and legal guidelines. Support & Daily Living Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment (hoists, mobility aids, etc.). Support daily routines, hobbies, education, or community activities. Stakesby Road - Complex Care Are you looking for a Support Worker role where you will be rewarded and recognised within a fantastic team ? Then look no further! The Wilf Ward Family Trust have a great opportunity for you to join our team at one of our registered services, Stakesby Road. As a Support Worker you will provide person centred support for three individuals who have complex health needs and learning disabilities at their home, which is in the seaside town of Whitby. No two days are the same, the individuals we support require and receive 100% support in all aspects of their lives. Some day-to-day tasks include: Personal care. Meal preparation. Monitoring, recording, and administering medication. Assistance with mobility. Accompanying individuals to a range of activities including cinema trips, shopping, eating out, arts and crafts, and swimming. You should be an effective communicator be prepared to use different communication tools and methods and follow the lead of the person you're communicating with, as we have a variety of different communication styles. Flexibility is essential as the role includes working every other weekend and shifts are varied on a rota basis to include mornings, afternoons, & evenings. As we continue to grow and evolve our services, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Complex Care to lead and shape support for individuals with the most complex health and behavioural needs. The Role Reporting to the Director of Operations and working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across our Complex Care services. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a Trust-wide Complex Care strategy, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. You will lead specialist teams, drive best practice in trauma-informed and positive behaviour support, oversee regulatory and contractual compliance, and support the growth and development of services across existing and new areas. Key Responsibilities Lead and implement the Trust's Complex Care strategy. Provide expert leadership for services supporting people with complex health and behavioural needs. Act as the Trust's lead for reducing restrictive practices and positive behaviour support. Build strong partnerships with commissioners, health partners, and local authorities. Oversee budgets, contracts, and service performance, ensuring sustainability and value. Support business development, growth, and mobilisation of new services. Contribute to strategic decision-making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. About You You will be an experienced leader with a strong background in complex social care or health settings. Comprehensive knowledge of legislative frameworks, ability to keep up to date with key practice developments and operating models in adult social care, particularly in relation to trauma informed support, positive behaviour support, strengths-based practice and active support. High level of creativity and ability to think beyond the current arrangements within the sector and be able to articulate a community-based model through the Complex Care strategy. A relevant professional qualification that is applicable to the role of Head of Complex Care and/or demonstratable relevant experience. Ability to design, develop and deliver strategies to meet organisational objectives in a complex multi-functional organisation. Interpret complex information to develop plans, set priorities and problem solve independently and on behalf of the Trust. Experience of managing budgets that focus on sustainability and high-quality outcomes, for both the Trust and individuals we support. Ability to motivate leaders within the Complex Care directorate to influence and negotiate the delivery of our strategic objectives. Capability to progress towards longer term plans whilst managing short term operational challenges. Understanding of the responsibilities associated with strategic management within the Health and Social Care sector, particularly affecting those individuals who are at risk of institutionalisation through hospital admission for health conditions or under the Mental Health Act or Mental Capacity Act.
