They are seeking a driven, experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of experts, based near the beautiful, historical city of York. Benefits for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include (but are not limited to): Highly competitive salary (commensurate with experience) Company pension scheme Generous annual leave allowance Potential for flexible/hybrid working Career progression opportunities and training Substantial benefits package Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include: Working on a diverse range of Flood Risk, Surface Water, and Drainage projects for the public and private sectors Contributing to River Restoration and Flood Alleviation projects Completing Flood Risk Assessments for Zones 1, 2, and 3 Producing Surface Water Management Plans, as well as Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies Using the appropriate software for Flood Risk Mapping and Modelling (including TuFlow and Flood Modeller) Putting together Residential Drainage and Sewerage designs, using Causeway Flow and MicroDrainage across a number of projects Submitting Drainage Area Plans Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include: A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar, relevant discipline) Demonstrable experience of having worked for a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority, in a design role Extensive experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, and Hydraulic Modelling Outstanding working knowledge of the relevant software packages, including Flood Modeller, Tuflow, and Causeway Flow Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include: Experience completing Drainage Designs Hold Chartership Status, or actively working to attain this Prior experience of having lead design projects and/or a team Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region If you are interested in the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller, please do not hesitate to contact the Civils and Hydrology Team at Penguin Recruitment.
