R&D Engineering Technician West Yorkshire Salary 35-37k Our client is a global leader in the development and manufacture of a range of seals and gaskets used in sectors including oil & gas, chemicals, food, water and pharmaceuticals. In this position you will play a key role in the physical and mechanical testing of sealing materials (compression testing, leakage testing etc) including R&D trials, competitor testing and troubleshooting, primarily using automated test equipment as well as traditional standard tests to ASTM, BS, DIN standards. You will also need to set up the various machines and carry out any fault-finding as required. There is a very strong focus on the use of MS Excel and carrying out data analysis and communication of the results within the R&D Team. Candidate Educated to at least Level 3 standard (or equivalent) ideally in mechanical engineering with a strong maths / physics background, or with equivalent industrial experience. Some experience in an engineering or instrumentation test laboratory environment would be advantageous. Proficient with MS Excel as data handling and data analysis is a key part of the role. Strong mathematical bias. Attention to detail is critical to this role. Hands-on mechanical skills, particularly with complex test equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to work on own initiative and without constant supervision but also works well as part of a team. Good organisational and time management skills. OWN CAR REQUIRED Role : As a Catering Assistant/Steward you are responsible for the competent delivery of food & beverage services alongside bar, reception, and accommodation management duties. You will be responsible to WO Catering Flight and their deputies via Mess Management direction and rostering.
