You will support children and young people through robust assessment, outcome focused planning and effective intervention to support them in achieving positive outcomes within their families and communities. Working within a restorative practice approach, you will work in partnership with families and multi-agency colleagues in intervening to address both the presenting concerns and underlying difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity to join the service which puts the individual at the heart of our work. The teams work from a strengths-based (Signs of Safety) approach to meet the needs of young people and their families. As the Principal Social Worker you will have the opportunity to develop the practice of others within the team through joint working and supervision whilst also leading by example as case-holder for those children with more complex needs who require the expertise of an experienced and skilled practitioner. Cardiff Parenting Services are part of Cardiff Early Help. Cardiff Parenting Services are strategically led by a Senior Educational Psychologist and include teams that deliver group and individual parenting programmes and interventions, across the whole of Cardiff. We work in community settings, schools and with families in the home; working in partnership with families to improve parenting confidence and skills, strengthen relationships and nurture wellbeing and resilience. Cardiff Parenting is grant funded by Welsh Government. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Parenting Practitioner, who will deliver a menu of Parenting Programmes for the Cardiff Parenting 0-18 service across Cardiff. The successful candidate will provide parenting interventions on a group basis and also, where necessary, on a one to one basis with service users in their home. We are seeking to appoint a Part time (18.5 hours per week) Parenting Practitioner to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will deliver a menu of Parenting Programmes for the Cardiff Parenting 0-18 service across Cardiff. Training in the parenting programmes will be provided. The successful candidate will provide parenting interventions on a group basis and also, where necessary, on a one to one basis with service users in their home; and lead on the delivery of crèche support for families accessing programmes of intervention. We're building a new team within the Intervention Hub to support families in making safe, informed decisions for their children. Our facilitators specialise in family networking and communication, working with families experiencing acute stress and crisis. As a Family Network Facilitator, you'll empower families to find their own solutions, ensuring the child or young person's voice is central to every decision. You'll work with families with complex needs, often involved in child protection processes, helping them make sustainable changes that allow children to thrive. Cardiff Family Advice and Support is an innovative and progressive service within the directorate of Children Services in Cardiff Council. Recently accredited with a Families First Quality Aware, the service provides high quality information, advice and assistance for infants, children, young people, families and professionals across the city. The service utilises a family centred, strengths based and inclusive approach, to identify the most appropriate support that will meet the wellbeing needs of both individuals and the family as a whole. The teams within the service work collaboratively with a range of professionals and partners to ensure support is at the right level and at the right time. We are seeking to appoint a Grade 7 Family Gateway Team Leader who will jointly lead, develop and support a team of Contact Officers to provide high quality information and advice on a wide range of wellbeing issues affecting families across the city. The postholder will liaise and communicate with service users, including families and professionals, and will also work alongside the Service Manager to support the continued development and quality of service delivery. Intake and Assessment is a fast paced and exciting team. Due to Cardiff's demography the work is diverse and progressive. Practitioners undertake Well-being and S47 assessments and provide short term interventions to support families to increase safety within the home. Practitioners hold cases for a short period of time; long term work is generally transferred at the first planning meeting. The Team are on a duty rota for one week in every three, meaning you have the opportunity to plan and record your work in a structured and organised way.
