Why This Role Matters This role is central to how financial insight shapes decision-making across IWM. As Head of Finance Business Partnering, you ll lead the function that connects finance with the wider organisation ensuring leaders have the clarity, challenge and support they need to deliver against strategic and commercial objectives. You ll play a key role in aligning financial planning with IWM s mission, supporting both public-facing activity and commercial operations, while maintaining strong governance and value for money. What You ll Be Doing Lead and develop the Finance Business Partnering function, building a high-performing and well-structured team Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing clear financial insight and constructive challenge Partner closely with the Commercial directorate to support income growth, pricing decisions and business planning Translate strategy into financial plans, budgets and performance measures Lead budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities Deliver high-quality reporting, analysis and scenario modelling to support decision-making Support major strategic initiatives, investment cases and organisational change Improve financial systems, reporting and processes to increase efficiency, insight and transparency Promote financial understanding across the organisation, enabling better decision-making at all levels What We re Looking For We d love to hear from you if you have: Proven experience leading a finance business partnering or FP&A function Strong experience influencing and challenging senior stakeholders Track record of supporting commercial performance and strategic decision-making Experience leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes Ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insight Strong team leadership skills, with experience building or developing teams Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience Strong analytical skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset Understanding of public sector, charity or grant-funded environments (desirable) How You ll Work You ll work closely with senior leaders across commercial, operational and support functions, acting as a key link between finance and the wider organisation. Why This Role Matters Behind every digital photograph, video recording, oral history and archived document is a technology infrastructure that keeps those assets secure, accessible and protected. As Linux and Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the systems that underpin IWM's Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) and wider digital collections environment. Your work will help ensure critical services remain reliable, resilient and secure, enabling colleagues, researchers and visitors to access and benefit from IWM's invaluable digital collections. What You'll Be Doing Support and administer Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring systems remain secure, available and performant. Maintain and develop the infrastructure supporting IWM's Digital Asset Management System and associated archive platforms. Manage storage environments, backups, replication and capacity planning activities to protect critical digital assets. Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, networking and system issues. Support security, patching and compliance activities across the infrastructure estate. Contribute to infrastructure projects, service improvements and technology development initiatives. Work with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions. Maintain high-quality technical documentation, disaster recovery procedures and operational standards. What We're Looking For We'd love to hear from you if you have: Significant experience supporting and administering Linux environments at 3rd line level. Strong knowledge of Linux administration, including scripting, file systems, permissions and system monitoring. Experience with network file systems such as NFS and SMB. Experience managing storage platforms, backups, replication and capacity planning. Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, infrastructure and networking environments. Experience working with enterprise IT systems and supporting business-critical services. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience balancing operational support responsibilities alongside project work. A security-first approach to infrastructure administration and support. Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code tools, backup platforms, DAMS environments or archive systems would be advantageous. How You'll Work You'll work closely with colleagues across IT and AV Services, Collections, Digital Media, Retail and Admissions, helping to deliver reliable technology services across the organisation. The role combines hands-on technical work with stakeholder engagement, project delivery and continuous improvement activities. You'll also work with external suppliers and specialist partners, helping to shape and support technology solutions that meet the needs of the museum and its collections. What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months) Develop a strong understanding of IWM's infrastructure, digital collections environment and operational priorities. Become a trusted technical expert within the Linux and infrastructure environment. Successfully support and maintain the systems underpinning the DAMS platform and associated storage infrastructure.
